Joshua “CKooliènte” Keys

Formally Known as CKoolKeys

is an American hip-hop artist, born (November 12, 1993) in the eldest, historical, African-American neighborhood of New Orleans, The Treme. CKooliènte’s music is a mixture of Soul and Jazz,  with not only a nostalgic sentiment beyond great sound, but an amazing story behind it all. CKooliente is currently touring the Tristate-East Coast area, promoting his albums and continues to market the CKooliènte brand. 

 

CKooliènte’s  passion for music started at the age of 4, inquisitive of the microphone at his grandparents’ lounge “Jackie’s & George”.  His main influences in hip-hop are Jay Z , Nas, Tupac, Westside Gunn, Roc Marciano, Benny The Butcher,  Tone Trump,  Jeezy and Pusha T.  CKooliènte’s father’s family has been emerged in music since the historic days of “Congo Square”.  His great-great grandfather, Jessie Hill created the hit Jazz single Ooh Poo Pah Doo in the 1960’s. CKooliènte is the only member of his family that took the route to HipHop and he’s considered top-tier of the New Orleans’ lyrical scene. With over 10+ projects from CKoolKeys and the critically acclaimed tape released under CKooliènte , “A TREME Tale”,  he is undoubtedly on track to becoming one of the best lyrical acts in today’s climate of Real Hip-Hop.
